 Organizational Behaviour: 

 

This core course targets the key concepts of behavioral dynamics at work place, especially at individual & team level. The course aims to provide the basic level understanding about how managers should behave in order to motivate and control employees. Articulate aspects of organizational culture and interpret cultural diversity. Build people and leadership skills essential for managerial success. Analyse causes of conflict and outline conflict management strategies that managers can use to resolve organizational conflict effectively. Also evaluate the significance of interpersonal relationships for organizational effectiveness. Applying the techniques of conflict management and subsequently the stress management.

Economic Analysis for Business Decisions:

This core course targets the most important factor of the business management about understanding the reasons for existence of firms and their decision making goals. Applying the concepts of Demand, Supply, Demand Forecasting, Supply & Market Equilibrium and their determinants. Analyse the cost function and the difference between short-run and long-run cost function & establish the relationship between production function and cost function. Study the effect of non-price factors on products and services of monopolistic and oligopoly firms. Design competition strategies, including costing, pricing, product differentiation, and market environment according to the natures of products, the market structures and Business Cycles.

The course also aims to provide an understanding about the various types of measurement scales & attitude scaling techniques and their application in the context of business research. Design a variety of data collection instruments for contemporary business research issues and apply the principles of sampling and sample size determination to contemporary business research problems. Analyse and diagrammatically present quantitative data and derive actionable inferences from the same from a decision making perspective. Construct different types of testable hypotheses and interpret the statistical test outcomes. Formulate alternative research designs for a real-life business research problem and discuss the pros and cons of each design.

 

 Basics of Marketing: 

 

This core course targets terms & concepts in marketing and the various company orientation towards the market place. Provides understanding of the various components of the marketing environment of a firm and explain the same. Applying the principles of segmentation, targeting, and positioning to real world marketing offering to commodities, goods, services, e-products/e-services. Analysing the journey of consumer behaviour into various components and differentiate between various buying roles for a real world marketing offering like the above mentioned services. To develop and describe the marketing mix for real world marketing offering. Elaborate on the various types of Product Life Cycles and relate them with the marketing mix in the context of real world marketing offering (commodities, goods, services, e-products/ e-services.).

 

 Digital Business: 

 

This core course targets on affirming how important the digital technologies are for the success of business. The course aims to provide the conceptual framework of e commerce, mobile commerce & social commerce. Help understand the impact of information, mobile, social, digital, IOT and related technologies on society, markets & commerce. Elucidate value creation & competitive advantage in a digital Business environment. Analyse the changing role of intermediaries, changing nature of supply chain and payment systems in the online and offline world and also learn how to classify the prevalent digital business models into various groups and outline their benefits and limitations. Identify the various applications of Digital Business in the present day world.

This core course targets the terms associated with the 4 Ps of marketing i.e. Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. Understand the various approaches to pricing for a real world marketing offering (commodities, goods, services, e-products/ e-services). Analyse the product line of a real world marketing offering (commodities, goods, services, e-products/ e-services). Evaluate the role of various communication mix elements. Learn to solve numerical problems on Common Size & Comparative Statements, Trend Analysis, Ratio Analysis (Calculation of ratios plus its interpretation), Estimation of working capital requirement (Total Cost Method & Cash Cost Method), Operating Cycle, Measurement of Specific Cost (Cost of Equity, Preference, Retained Earnings and Debt) and WACC, Capital Structure, Leverages, Capital Budgeting (ARR, Payback Period, Discounted Payback Period, NPV, PI & IRR).
