This subject elective course targets at knowing the various concepts taught in the syllabus. Understanding various theories of Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management. Calculating the risk and return on investment using various concepts covered in the syllabus. Analyzing and discover intrinsic value of a security. Designing optimal portfolio.

 

 Futures and Options: 

This subject elective course targets at describing the basic concepts related to Derivatives, Types of Derivative Products and Risk Management. Understanding in detail the terminology used in the Futures and Options (F & O) segment of finance domain. Applying Options and Futures pricing and apply the understanding in the simulated virtual trading platform. Analyzing and offer optimum solutions in the cases of risk management through hedging with futures and options. Evaluating the various derivative strategies for their application in different situations.

 

 Direct Taxation: 

This subject elective course targets at understanding various basic concepts/ terminologies related Direct

Taxation. Understanding how tax planning can be done. Illustrating how online filling of various forms and returns can be done. Calculating Gross Total Income and Income Tax Liability of an individual assessee. Analyzing and discovering the intrinsic value of a security. Designing, developing, and creating tax saving plan.

 

 

 Financial Reporting: 

This subject elective course targets at describing the basic concepts related to Financial Reporting taught through the syllabus. Understanding the concepts theoretically and knowing calculations of financial reporting. Analyzing the situation and deciding the key elements of financial reporting through the financial statements. Evaluating the compliance and quality of financial reporting.

 

 Retail Credit Management- Lending & Recovery: 

This subject elective course targets at knowing & describing the key concepts covered in the syllabus. Understanding in detail the Retail Credit Evaluation, Lending and Recovery Process as well as other relevant concepts covered in the syllabus. Calculating the loan eligibility of the retail borrower and the amount to be classified as NPA. Determining the key elements of retail lending and recovery process and documentation therein. Designing the Retail Lending and Recovery Process for a Bank & NBFC.

 Fundamentals of Life Insurance – Products and Underwriting: 

This subject elective course targets at recalling & understanding all the concepts pertaining to Life Insurance covered in the course. Determining the key elements of the Life Insurance Products and Services. Understanding the application of life insurance product knowledge to suit to the clients’ needs. Designing the life insurance cover strategy for clients.

 

 General Insurance - Health and Vehicle: 

This subject elective course targets at describing the various terms related to General insurance and Health Insurance. Understanding General Insurance, Health Insurance (including travel insurance) and Motor / Vehicle Insurance. Compare and contrast insurance plans. Analyzing and using risk management techniques. Facilitating the development of an insurance claim and the compliance required for acquiring the policy and settlement of claims.
